Getting started
If you're curious about working together, the first step is a free 20-minute consultation. It’s a chance to connect, ask questions, and get a sense of whether this feels like a good fit. There's no pressure and no obligation.
If we decide to move forward, we'll schedule your first session and I'll send you intake paperwork through my client portal. Everything happens online, including scheduling, paperwork, payment, and sessions.
I offer telehealth therapy only to adults in California.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
That's exactly what the free consultation is for. It's a chance for us to connect, for you to ask questions, and for both of us to get a sense of whether this feels right. If we're not the right fit I'm happy to help connect you with someone who might be.
-
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. A few things to know: Therapy is confidential, with a few legal exceptions that we’ll review together during intake. Payment is processed before each session.
-
Most clients start with weekly sessions, especially early in the work. Consistency matters. It's how trust builds and momentum develops. As the work progresses we may shift to biweekly depending on your needs and goals.
-
If you’re interested in meeting less frequently, I recommend at least 8 weekly sessions before shifting to biweekly. Weekly sessions allow the relationship to form and give the work real traction.
-
Many of the clients I work with stay in therapy for several months or longer, depending on what they’re working through. This isn't quick-fix work. It's the kind of therapy that takes time because the changes you're making are real and lasting.
-
Sessions are 50 minutes. Longer sessions are available upon request.
-
My fee is $250 for a 50-minute session. Longer sessions are available upon request and the extra time will be prorated appropriately. A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for those who need them.
-
I don't accept insurance directly. If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to understand your out-of-network mental health benefits before we begin.
-
I ask for 48 hours notice for cancellations. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged the full session fee.
